Your first week with the Patch app
Install Patch, take a normal walk, look at the map afterwards.
Days 1–2: just walk
Tap to start, walk your usual route, stop when you are home. Learn what your colour looks like. Skim what a dog walking game is if the idea is new.
Days 3–4: close a loop
Add one extra left turn. Watch a block fill in.
Days 5–7: notice others
Other dogs' colours, maybe a sniff spot. Reclaim something small if you fancy it.
Ignore the noise
Leaderboards can wait. How to read them comes later. First week success is "we walked and the map moved".
