These terms govern your use of Patch, the dog walking territory app, claimyourpatch.app, and related services. By downloading the app or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Patch.
The service
Patch lets you record dog walks, claim territory on a map, compete on leaderboards, join packs, and mark sniff spots. Features may change as we improve the product. Some features may require an account or become paid later; we will say so clearly in the app.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Do not create accounts for anyone else without permission, and do not impersonate other people or dogs in a way that misleads others.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, spoof GPS, or manipulate territory, leaderboards or achievements
- Harass, threaten or abuse other users
- Post unlawful, hateful or infringing content in sniff spots or elsewhere
- Scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the service
- Use Patch for any commercial purpose we have not authorised
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules or harm the community.
Location and safety
Patch uses location data while you walk. Stay aware of traffic, other people and your dog. Patch is entertainment and a walk record, not a navigation or safety device. You use the app outdoors at your own risk.
Creator Program
If you apply to or join the Creator Program, additional programme terms we send you may apply (revenue share, bonuses, promo codes). Those terms sit alongside these Terms of Use.
Intellectual property
Patch, the logo, design, and software are ours or our licensors'. You keep rights in content you create (for example sniff spot notes), and you grant us a licence to host and display that content so the service works. Do not use our brand in a way that suggests partnership without permission.
Disclaimer
Patch is provided "as is". We aim for a reliable map and walk experience, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect GPS accuracy, or that territory or leaderboard outcomes will meet your expectations. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we exclude warranties that are not expressly stated here.
Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Patch and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from outdoor activity, device failure, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. If a change is material we will try to give reasonable notice in the app or on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
