Contested ground on Patch, explained
Contested ground is the messy middle of the map. Your colour and someone else's overlap. The street is up for grabs in the fun sense, not the legal one.
What it means
Someone else walks there too. Shocking news in a neighbourhood. On Patch it shows as contested so you can decide whether to revisit.
What to do
- Reclaim it on a normal walk if you fancy
- Leave it if the route is awkward for your dog
- Never bend safety rules for a colour change
